Most of the highlights on our safari- and adventure travels you will find under projects and galleries, but we will here also show you some of the places we visit and what your might see along the trips, other than animals and children. Our delicate balance between adventures and exploring mixed with the human touch and solidarity work - that's what will stick with you and that's what makes our trips worth while and a memory for life. The car can be loaded, especially when there is much luggage. If too loaded, we drive two cars.
We are ready to drive - car loaded with luggage and things for the schools and the kinder gardens

Rare moment, we are hardly ever able to interact with the animals like this, but this giraffe was particularly friendly

One of our regular orders when it comes to snacking is to ask for a pineapple on a "stick"
You can't get them more fresh than this. Delicious!
One of many markets, where you can buy beedwork and other handcrafted things, mostly souvenirs. Here at Shakaland.
The curio shop at Fort Nongqayi and museum area. Gertie has worked here for years and still working full time, at the age of more than 80.
Zulu dancing is always part of our program and always both entertaining and adventurous. You might even be challenged to try it. Here at Shakaland.
The close encounters of wild animals can't be described, Here Ola filming lions through the car door window outside Pietermaritsburg.
Even inside the game reserve, where we are surrounded by wild animals, there are set up barbecue areas, where you can grill whatevery you brought. Annbjorg is helping prepare lunch for the group inside Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve.

Breakfast at one of the hotel we stayed in along The Garden Route. The Garden Route is the road from Cape Town to Durban.
The burning of sugar fields looks totally out of hand (and sometimes it is), but mostly the fires are controled. This is done with every sugar field every year.
