Hope you are well, as are we.
We have had a very successful visit by the Vidaregaande School’s delegation just a few days after your departure.
Congratulations and our very best wishes with your Children of Zululand project! We think it is a very worthy project and will give you the opportunity of changing the lives of many of our under privileged communities for which we are most grateful. The need is just so big and although we cannot help everyone, we can at least make a difference for those that we can.
Thank you for forwarding your blog to us, it makes very interesting reading and we will of course assist you wherever possible. We understand that you need to highlight the needs of our area in order to attract donors and will send you any such information that comes to hand.
We are entering autumn and our weather is changing and the days are getting cooler. Soon we will be taking out our winter woollies while you look forward to summer in Norway.
We have opened a bank account for Irene’s sponsored girl and deposited the delegation’s donation for next year’s school uniform. She really enjoys the bicycle and is an experienced rider now.
We have also purchased a food parcel for the Marit’s sponsored Family as requested by the delegation and they were very happy for this kind gesture.
The delegation also donated money for a staff member’s son and she was advised to buy a dictionary, calculator, 2 school shirts and long pants – they too are most grateful.
Thank you Thore for bringing the delegation to Umlalazi, so many people have benefited there from and we really appreciate your compassion for our communities. If it were not for friends like yourself and our other friends in Norway, we would not have been able to assist our communities in the way we do.
Kind regards,
Your friends in South Africa
